LISTEN TO ‘SINGLE PART OF YOU’

“This one came from the premise of how I feel about my own relationships. I sometimes feel like I’m different, in maybe a bad way, to the way a normal person should act in a relationship.

I have to be honest and say that I can be selfish at times. I don’t mean to be but probably have to be when chasing a dream for as long as I have. I don’t want anyone to outwork me in music and have some many things I want to achieve. That means I’ve put music first, above family and loved ones or anything else, for a long time. 

I wrote Single Part of You as a way of saying even though people can be very different people in relationships, that doesn’t mean it can’t work perfectly and therefore, to me at least, feel even more special.  

I think I use my songs as a way of saying the things that I lack the confidence to in person. I also think that’s the reason most of them lyrically are quite self explanatory. 

This one means a hell of a lot to me and coincides with how I’m changing and growing as a person these days.
